Just returned from vacation and my toadstool leather is decaying. The tissue has turned brown and is peeling away from the top. I dipped it in lugols and blew the decaying peaces away last night but it's worse today. At this point just about half of it is affected. Any ideas of what to do. I was wondering whether it's possible to cut off the affected area without stressing and or killing it.
At the same time my fiji leather's polyps are not out but it looks healthy otherwise. It is on the other side of the tank but could the toadstool be giving off any stress chemicals?
