I feel so miserable at the moment, I just can't believe what happened to me. Here's the story before the incident so you know. I had my new from scratch 200g fishless since 25th of January. My plan was to leave the display tank fish less for a good 2 months for sure. Every single fish I would get would be QTed and done 4 weeks of cupramine and prazipro plus 1 week before and 1 week after for observation.
Ok this is what happened my QT finally fully cycled and I took a ride to Athens to get my first fish. Because I had little time to catch up the LFS I didn't do the total water change on my QT cuz nitrates were like 100+ and of course bits of ammonia and nitrite ( from the constant ammonia I was putting in to maximize bacteria numbers). So the plan was when I return at home I would fill the QT with 100% water from display tank. As I was doing that I had the fish acclimatizing in the Display tank, since that was the water that would be in the QT. And now guess what happened. One of the bags with a solar fairy wrasse got somehow unhooked from where I had it and opened up in the display tank.
Even if by some wonder I managed to catch that fish ( very hard cuz my tank is full of caves ) I would now need another 2 months for the tank to remain fishless. Also add the fact that my QT would be full all this time till display was ready, and I would be stuck with these fish for 2months and losing all the chances for any decent additions. I really really don't know what to do now..... If that's not the biggest fail story I don't know what is..... Add this to the already painful procedure I had accepted of taking and while I was already on the end of my patience....
