I have a 30 gallon tank that has been running for 4 months with three small damsels in it , My friend tommydh on here bought a bimac octo and he has had it for around 4 weeks, I LOVE HIS OCTOPUS, and IM REALLY wanting one, I have done some research I have everything I need other than a protein skimmer
I still need to get one

but my questiosn are

is my 30 with a 4 inch sandbed ok for him

How fast and how big will he grow

and what all do they eat, MY FRIENDS loves bloodworms

and how much should i feed him , he is going to be about one inch mantle and 5-6 inches with ams etc.

and also I have 45 lbs of live fiji live rock, in my 30 , is this too much rock, i know its the more the better, but I do want to be able to see him and see him crusing on the sand bed when I feed him , so would it hurt to take about half of that rock out?

I'm certainly no expert, but here goes. If you get a bimac, the consensus on RC seems to be that you should order from flying fish express. Their reputation is very good, and you can find a link to their website by searching on this forum. As far as the LR, I think it would be a matter of personal choice. My bimac hid a lot at first, but now comes out whenever he is hungry. The cool thing about bimacs is that they are day active and will often respond to seeing people in the room.

As for the damsels, they will have to go when the bimac comes as the octo may eat them, or they could harrass the octo. Bimacs will grow to 18-20" in about a year, so be prepared. They also only live about a year. As for food, mine likes frozen scallops and shrimp as well as live fiddler crabs. They will also take snails, clams, crawdads, etc. Smaller ones will need live food at first. Feed him daily as much as he will eat. I have read that they should grow a little each week.

Finally, consider waiting a few more months, as a 4 month old tank could use a little more time to season.

HTH!

30 gallons is considered by most on this board to be minimal for a bimac. It will work, but bigger is always better.
