Bio Balls

So.... I'm new to thus hoby. I am truly enjoying it so far. About a month ago I purchased a biocube 29. I have 30lbs of Fiji Pink sand and 26lbs of rock. 25lbs in the display and 1 pound under my bio balls. I have been reading a lot about removing bioballs. So, my question is should I remove them and put around a pound of live rock in the back(sump)?

i used bio balls for a long time without probs....then eventually i did switch them out...so i guess if i was you i would switch them right away and put in rock instead...so the answer is yes.....lol.....

Lol... thanks. And as far as benifical bacteria goes, will this hurt anything by doing so?

Oh and all my rock is base and life not live. Coral life makes life rock.

if your only a month into it...na....but if you wait too long might be a problem

How many pounds of live rock would you recommend and how would you recommend putting in the sump?
