I dont think you up and need to get rid of your bta. Each animal is different, it migt have found a nice place to plant it foot and might never move again and flourish; but be prepared for the unwarranted/unprevoked/unexplained walks that they LOVE to take!Originally posted by Luna81
See, mine hasn't moved until we redid the rock. Then he moved right where he wanted and hasn't moved since.
Not really sure if I want to get him out, or what the Clown's would do if I did. We'll have to see how things go.
jmadison: The column is a cool idea. I don't know, maybe I'll see how things go right now. He hasn't moved since he went to where he wanted to be. I don't know, should I get rid of him?
I'm excited today because the skimmer is pulling stuff. Not much, but it seems to be breaking in (I was worried at first). I am so glad I finally got it. I know with the 29 you can get away with just water changes, but come on...sometimes we're lazy/sick/hurt and it goes a few days passed when we planned on doing it.
So, with the stock lighting, does the adding of some zoas/acan/trumpet coral sound okay?
Here would be an answer to your furry problem. I used it orignally as a way to help acclimate my tank to the halides, it also helps prevent jumpers. I actually don't use it anymore as I don't worry about jumping so much ( as it might help me actually get my firefish out of the tank HA). If I were still using it I had kicked around the idea of giving it the black krylon touch, although i have heard that white is more reflective, so I would prob only paint the the top and not down into each of the holes.Originally posted by Luna81
Why I don't think a sunpod would work for me:

jmadison, have you ever done a PAR test to see how much light that egg crate cuts down? Any chance you could post a picture of the tank with the MH light on and the egg crate on, then the same photo but remove the eggcrate?

Quick question. I have a 29g biocube with a stock light. Would it be stupid to get a anemore? My LFS said it would be fine. Does anyone has a anemore with the stock light?how is it doing?
I do not have a picture, but when the tank wakes up in an hour, I will snap some pics for ya. As for a par meter, nope don't have one of those eitherOriginally posted by Octoberfest

Speaking of, we need to have the tang police infultrate the people that design the boxes for nano tanks. In unread reefers defenses, they really should be a little more accurate with what they picture living inside said aquariums.
