what happened to the sebae?

Just ordered me a tunze 9002 nano DOC for my 29 biocube, seems like a really nice unit, and has pretty good feedback, anyone have any personal experience with this unit? pro's con's? I plan to put it in chamber two any major mods need to be done to make it fit, I have heard you have to take the magnetic mount off to get it in there, is that true?? thanks in advance for any input!

As far as the pics go, I have to do a little spring cleaning before I post em up ;) I'll try to get around to it this weekend. I had the past couple of days off from work and havent been keeping up with the thread, this is more of a work thing for me. My aptasia problem is starting to get out of control in my BC now, yet I havent done anything to try to contain it lol. My decorator crab even has an aptasia growing on him! Im wondering if I pull it off will it hurt him?

Oh and I def have a bad coraline algae problem on the acrylic of my BC. My mini mag float doesnt work on the rounded edges of the tank so I am unable to clean everyday on those areas. Does anyone have any good ways of removing coraline from acrylic? I use a razor on my glass tank, can I use it on acrylic? Anyone figure out anyway creative to clean that curvy part of the tank?

Where on earth did you find an acrylic BC?? Biocubes are glass.

BC's are glass? No way.. I thought they were acrylic?... hmmm

The Oceanic BioCube offers panoramic viewing with smooth rounded glass corners, proper filtration , and lighting for a thriving mini-reef.

It also says they are glass on the box.

lol!!! i thought that at first too untill i got it home and was opening the box and noticed it said glass on the box. It was so light i had just assumed is was acrylic, but then found out it was glass. that made me a whole lot happier because i prefer glass to acrylic ANYDAY.

Lyfey,
even though it is glass, i think it would be hard to clean the curves with a razor blade. I don't have any coraline yet so I dont know how you would go about cleaning the curves.

just turn the razor blade vertical around the curves and it works great.

use a razor blade, lots of pressure, lots of patience - your fingers will be sore but it will be worth it. It took me probably 1 1/2 hour to get it all cleaned up.

Does anyone else run "open top" on their tank, when I got my new sunpod I pretty much pitched the old BC hood and have been running open top ever since, but now it looks like I have tons of small dust particles floating around in the water and the filter is not getting it, any idea's? also if you use some form of top with your sunpod what do you have? custom sheet of glass or something else?

I run open top, but ihave told everyone that NOTHING gets sprayed into the air in the same room as it, and as for dust... maybe vacuum more? i dunno i dont have that same problem with dust.
