Bio pellet reactor

Just installed reef octo 110 bio pellet reactor and added 800 ml of bio pelletsbto my 2 month old 450 ltr tank. Is the quantity too much if yes then can what is the right quantity and how can i store bio pellets.

Typically you would want to start with 1/2 the recommended amount to avoid a "bacterial bloom" (cloudy water).. read the directions..

Unused biopellets should just be stored in a zip lock bag or other container... There is really nothing "active" about them that would spoil,etc.. Its just a pellet if plastic..
Like Gremlins.. Don't get them wet..

Thanks, if I need to pull out excess pellets from the reactor, can they be stored for reuse.
Also I am facing micro bubbles issue since installing reactor and somehow the skimmer s not accumulating waste. Lot of questionssorry

The oils,etc.. from a new reactor or whatever can cause skimmers to stop skimming for a few days.. It will come back to performing properly again.. Give it some time..

and yes.. Just pull them out and rinse/dry them off for storage if you can..

out of curiosity, what are your NO3 and PO4 numbers. One would carbon dose (bio pellets being one method) to bring down nitrates (by removing nitrogen before it gets locked up into NO3), if you filtration isn't keep up, and

one reason to start with a portion of the recommended amount of bio-pellets and working your way up over a few weeks, is that carbon dosing can take down NO3 faster than PO4 and the imbalance can lead to cyano outbreaks and other issues.
