Biocube 29 intake

I've read that many people like to block the bottom intake to increase surface skimming but how and with what do you block it with? There is a tray in the first chamber that I've read is unmovable so I'm at a loss. Thanks

I've not personally blocked the lower intake but can see why people would. I would think something simple as a square piece of plexi and some super glue that we use with frags or epoxy. Inside if you want it for looks and hide it.

False bottom and assuming the tank is empty you should be able to take the lid off and look inside. You will see see it pretty clear from what I recall. Just take a flat blade / standard screw driver or putty knife and you should be able to insert and gently pull. It is set in there pretty well with black chaulk. There is the bottom and it has slits for water travel so just do a bit of pry work and it should come up.
