Biocube owners please help!

Hi all, I decided to use a biocube to do a freshwater tank setup even though I know they are really intended for saltwater.

I am posting this here because I feel like most biocube owners will be here vs planted tank where I normally post.

Most of us run alot of things in our back chamber and usually the water level is quite high. Don't worry about the water level in the back the tank will not overflow. If you have a leak between chamber 1 and 2 it may cause a problem and you wouldn't get proper flow over the overflow. Just slow your pump down to the flow you want and add water until your display tank is at proper height and let it run.

After watching your video(apparently the above poster didn't), I would say you have a leak between the tank and the false wall somewhere. Assuming you have completely cut the pump off, does the water level even out between the chamber and display, or does it continue to fill until it cause's a flood?

Been running a biocube for about a year and a half now, and the only way the water is supposed to go is in the grates in the first chamber(standing in front of the tank, right hand side is the first chamber) fill up the first chamber, then spill over into the second chamber, then under the wall through the sponge into the return section.

Typically when you cut the return off, the back chambers will flood to meet the tank level which will drop a bit(they even out). But seeing as you have no water going over the "overflow" from the first to second chamber, I would say you have a leak there somewhere, and I would say its somewhere in the second chamber since that looks to be wet.

If it were me, I would either return it if it was new, or just resilicone the plastic false wall between the "sump" and tank.
