I currently have two filter sponges in my sump for quarantine. How long before they become "Live" for biological filtration.
Also my tank is currently sitting fallow due to ice and velvet. I am establishing a QT tank to monitor new fish while the fallow period is going on. If I use the filter sponges from the DT will I be possibly spreading the ich to the new fish?
