Looks good as long as there are no dead spots.

You will need to kick that up a notch in a few days to a week when they start developing that film all over them. Don't be afraid to tumble them violently. Eventually the tumble will slow anyway.

Thats looks a bit slow to me as well. Like Ben said dont be afraid of tumbling them quite vigorously.

That's a lot better.

Did you add more BP or are they just more liquidized? I have about 200-250 grams in mine on a 110 gal with heavy bio load. It has been like that for about a year now and still no bad stuff detectable.

I'm using a Reef Octopus BR140 and without the pump on the biopellets are about 14 inches deep (max 21). So 5x14 area of biopellets. I was running about 5x6 before I upgraded the pump.

That seems like a lot unless you have a enormous demand on your system. I am also running a recirculating reactor so that may make a difference in efficiency.

I'm running about 200G twv.
Not sure what I would consider the bioload, Potters Angel (large) , One Spot Foxface (medium), Sailfin (medium), 6 line wrass, and 1 black and white clown. super high nitrates 80-100ish. Fed heavy for a while after I got the angel and am paying for it now. Good news is he is eating well now without me feeding heavy.

Thats much better tumble. Also it does seem like a lot of pellets but once you get your nitrates down you can always take some out so for now I would let it ride.

First one is about 490gph second video with head calculated around 950.
