I tried to run a search for this topic but search was down.

Does anyone who is familiar with this method know if this has ever been tried at the hobbyist level? Any electrician/reefkeepers out there? LOL
It appears corals respond quite well to electricity, with higher growth rates and intensified coloration.
I am not an expert and have never even had a reef tank before so i'll ask the more informed here on the forums...."is something like this doable"? What are some of the hurdles one might encounter in attempting the "Biorock Method" at the hobbyist level?

I believe I read(a few years ago so I may be mistaken) that the mineral deposits(?) formed on the electrified steel are harder than concrete and grow at a rate of 5cm a year!
