bird of paradise

Hi, I was just wondering is the ORA Bird of Paradise birdnest coral a good beginner sps coral because I love the colors it have and if it is does anyone know where I could get one for a decent price as I cannot find an online retailer that sells them and my LFS definitely does not carry them although they have an unknown browned out birdnest so that possibly could be one

Not too difficult. Started with a 1/2" nub and now have a 4" mini colony in m nano. They are pretty common, I would check with local reefers. Frags are usually $10-$25 depending on size and who's selling

ORA bird of paradise probably one of the easiest SPS's.

I had mine fall to bottom of substrate 2x due to bad glueing and it recovered both times and is thriving. Quick grower too. Highly recommend it.

Stay away from browned out - a healthy bird of paradise has a nice greenish hue to it and lots of polyp extension.
