Bird wrasse coral safe?

I've read that they will eat inverts (shrimp, clams, snails) but I haven't came across an Article/thread where it states they may or may not pick on corals. I saw a medium size, maybe 4 inches in length, bird wrasse. Any info on this?

Thanks guys!:)

I've got one in 125g sps tank. Perfectly coral safe. Don't expect to keep mobile inverts although I've had luck with a brittle star. Eats like a maniac though so any piscine tank mates need to be aggressive eaters or they won't compete. Also they need lots of swimming room-I wouldn't try it in less than a 6ft tank.

My tank is 6ft long so that's good! I don't plan on keeping him in that tank though. As soon as it starts to get big, I'm going to move it to a different tank with my trigger and puffer.

I've kept other wrasses with them without issue: halichores, fairy, and cleaner.
Mine have not been aggressive with other fish at all.

Reef Safe is always misleading.

For something to be called Reef Safe, it has to not bother coral or any inverts that you'd find in a reef tank.

Our Crosshatch Triggers are "Reef Safe With Caution", but won't touch any coral. They will eat some inverts though.

The Angels I want to add on the other hand are "Reef Safe With Caution", but won't eat inverts, just pick at some types of coral.

I have a pair in my 300g stock tank.

They dont bother other Wrasses, corals, anemones etc.

They do and have eaten any shrimp i have ever attempted to keep with them, including a pistol shrimp that had a pretty well established tunnel system when the pair were introduced. They ignore my hermits and the porcelain crab in the tank however.

They get BIG compared to most wrasses! And they are extremely active and voracious feeders. They can definitely stress out calmer more cryptic fish with their activity level.

My favorite fish.

Make sure your rock sits on the bottom and not on the sand. They will dig out a "home" underneath the rockwork and you want to avoid a rock slide.
