i am having coral dropping like flies and could really use some advice. nothing has changed in my 75g. tank has been running for over 6 months with no issues until 2 weeks ago. i just tested parameters and they are...
sal 1.026
ph 8.2
nitrites 0
nitrates 0
alk 7
alk is a little low though, but not sure that this would cause the coral to start dying. i do not dose anything and no longer run gfo and carbon.
think it could be bugs or parasites of some kind????
- in the last 2 weeks i have had a dozen ricordia and yuma melt to a cloudy goo
- in the past week my birds nest have started losing polyps. several are completely white and polyp free. one of them had bee thriving for 6 months until a week ago!
- just noticed that 2 monti frags turned white literally in the last 24hrs.
didn't care too much about the ricordia, yumas, or birds nest. the montis i really like though!
all my lps, acans, scolies, gonipora, plates, and ect... are bright and vibrant! display tank is algae free it's just the birds nest, a few of the montis, and yumas/rics that have been dying. coincidence or related?
any ideas????
