Birdsnest bumps?

I got a damaged Birdsnest and it's gotten very bumpy. I expected a few new branches, but this is a little extreme?

This is unusual because my old Birdsnest is growing normally...

That's not unusual. Just a good sign that it's rebounding and growing.

Great. Any idea why the two new ones would bump, but the one who was there already isn't?

Probably because it didn't have healthy growth tips. Your healthy Birdnest has healthy growth tips so it's just growing from the existing one. Could also be wanting to grow fast so it made a lot of new tips.

It is likely that it is in higher flow than what it was grown in. In lower flow there will be a lot of spacing between branches, as soon as it is moved it will start sprouting more and filling in.
