Birdsnest Concern

Just took a photo of a pink birdsnest that i have and want to know if this looks healthy or not. For some reason i dont think it does but im no expert. Barely see any PE just looks what at the tips. Is this normal?

Is flow directly in front of it?

Ahh for about 4-5 months. I dont have all my water parameters, kind of just go by the old eyeball method. I do have temp, varies between 78-80, lighting: 150w mh about 6 inches above the tank, tank is 18 inches deep. I use reef crystals and do a approx 25% water change every sunday. Flow has been an issue in my tank, if anything is it possible that this guy get to much flow? I know that as of lately dealing with cyano, my birdsnest has been getting harmmered by my mp-10.

Speaking of parameters, any suggestions on some good quality test kits?

Looks to be bleaching.

I use red Sea for Calcium/Magnesium and Hanna Checker for Alk.

I was thinking that same thing but i also have a green birdsnest placed higher doing great.

I think it looks fine. Base seems good, usually a problem with birdsnest. The photo seems to give a bleached look. Could be white balance, but I could definatley see polyps on the some of the branches.

looking at the tips they could be too much flows or burned by alk swinged

Can tell its got some High flow based on stoutness of 'branches'

Looks like tissue is peeling also.

Well it has since been removed from my tank. Wouldnt be suprised if the alk swings had something to do with it
