Bite Mark or Parasite?

I have three blue/green chromis, and one has what looks like a significant chunk of scales missing by the tail. Is this from them establishing a pecking order or is this a parasite that requires quarantine from the tank?

What size tank are they in? From what i've read, a group of chromis will almost always end up killing each other until there i only one left.

But i'll let someone who has more experience chime in. I never kept chromis before.

They have been in the tank about a week

Uronema has been prevalent with chromis' of late. Read the stickie on fish parasites at the top of the forum.

That would be my concern as well. The timeline and species fits.

Steve, it looks like you hit this one right on the head. I came down this morning to find the affected chromis on the bottom of the tank. It fit all the symptoms of uronema. Thanks for the help guys.
