Does anyone else have a killer clown that hates when you have your hand in the tank.? Mine flips out and will follow my hand around biting me. He'll stop for a while and then out of nowhere , pow he tags me and I jump and splash water around because i'm not expecting it!! I always think to myself, He's too stupid to realize he's biting the hand that feeds him
So today, I'm scraping algae off the sides with a razor blade, and he starts biting me but as the same time eating the algae that I'm scraping off! He couldn't decide whether to go after the algae or my hand! Now I'm thinking becasue this is happening at the exact same time, He must be really stupid if he dosesn't realize that my hand being in there is feeding him at the same time!! Just thought i'd share, pretty funny

No one ever accused a clownfish of being smart. I don't have a clown but there was a thread I was reading last week or so and a lot of people with clowns were saying the same thing.

My Maroon got very territorial for about 6months. Then all of a sudden she stopped biting. Now she trys to investigate my hand to see if there is food in it. She is 5"+ and when she nailed my hand she caused the same reaction you have..lol

I also have a Lunar Wrasse that feeds like a shark....bite first then decide if it is food. He even does the roll to tear off chunks of shrimp

Oh yeah!! I have a pair of mated ocellaris clowns in a 180. They followed me around everywhere when I would clean the inside of the glass with a brush. I finally got the message and bought a magnet to clean the viewing glass with. Smart aren't they? They trained me!!

My maroons are pretty shy and donââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t bother me. The two yellow tail damsels attack all the time. My kids watch waiting to see them bite me. The opposite side of the spectrum is my Naso. I can hand feed it, pet it and it swims in and under my hand while I am trying to clean/work.

No offense, but you guys make me giggle.:D

Dump your clownfish, get a grumpy :furious: 10"+ triggerfish instead, then report back. :p
