So I think I'm going to Kessil, just not sure what model or wavelength I should go with? 36 gallon bowfront with a 3-4inch plastic strip through the center...

Any help much appreciated

A160WE at the minimum, but you may be happier with the A360WE in terms of coverage. Both are killer lights. I own both and cannot be happier. In either case, get the spectral controller.

How would the aquarium brace effect the light?

Not sure what your tank looks like, but if it has a brace down the middle, then just get two of the A160WE otherwise you'll have a huge dead spot in the middle. Two A360WE would be gross overkill. If you have a big budget, wait for the Cadillac, which is the new AP700.

Budget is a concern would 2 150s work or are they lack luster compared to the 160s?

They will absolutely work and grow corals. The downside is lack of control and they are really blue. If you can live with that, there are some seriously good deals on those.

Oh. Didn't Know there was a color difference on the models...

The A150 is available in a few different models, none of which are adjustable. If I were going that route, I'd probably go with the 10K. The 15K is just too blue for me.

A160WE and up are adjustable in 'color' and intensity
