Black and orange together

Can you pair a black and a normal false percula in the same tank?

Will they pair? If they won't pair, can I have a pair of each in a 180?

I like the black and my wife likes the orange. I was hoping we could both get our way.

They are classified for now as being the same species. You will have no problems pairing a black occie with an orange one, and chances are they will breed in a few years if they are well taken cared of. Stick with one pair though, as you will run into trouble with two pairs.

Yes, I have a black and orange in my tank, make sure they are both false perc's (ocellaris) though

I have a normal pair and a black pair. The males sometimes hang out together, because they aren't allowed to sleep with their females. So I am hoping I don't end up with two females and a black/orange pair...
