Black dogface

Just wondering who all has experiences with them. And can share them with me. I would like to get one and it would be in a 200 gal reef tank maybe.

I've had one for a while. i think a little over a year. It's in a mixed reef. Likes to eat palys and shrooms though. I have to keep those on the other end of the tank next to the clowns and their nem as he rarely goes over there for long. Very interesting and interactive fish. It would be my favorite fish in the tank. He is about 7 or 8 inches now, grew almost 2 inches in the last year... I hand feed him a variety of frozen foods like squid and clams

They are great! I will have had mine for exactly one year this Wednsday. I would be a little cautious thought putting one in a reef tank. Mine like to chew on everything!

Mine loved zoas. He got removed before I found out if he liked anything else.
If you want a puffer in your reef, get a porcupine puffer.

I used to have a valetine(saddleback) puffer and liked him but I'm just intrigued by the black dogface. And I'm not a big fan of paly so I'm good but porrcupine are fun too

great fish. mine ate every mushroom I had. he left cabbage leathers, Turbinaria, Porites alone. Previous zoos had been eaten by an angel.

(I was using my only reef to QT new fish I really really cared about - guess that's why I post in the fish forums.)
