black foot lionfish on DD

I got a hint they had a connection to get one independent of DD, but I don't know for certain. I definitely don't have anything set up for one yet.

I might try it, someone I know has had one at 72 degree for a few months now and it seems to be doing great

Hmmm, may have some competition there. I have a 55 just waiting for a little buddy to go in.

What are the other issues besides temp and bacterial infections with these guys?

from what ive heard, they wean very easily, can be aggressive towards fu manchu lions, and the temperature issue

oh and im going to guess a $300 dollar price tag, last time I checked the wholesalers sold them for $80

Heard the same. I had to go back and check LionfishLair once I saw dd.

300 may through me out, but have to wait and see.

Neat looking fish

Wonder if that is the actual fish or a different one. As for the damage or not, I have seen other pics like that and some without that.

Looks like someone already picked it up. Sure hope it went to someone that understands its husbandry requirements, and not just some shmo who thought it was a cool looking volitan...

We've spent many more times than that one fish.... but that's too much. The specimen has spines that are unseathed, so he's had some man-handling. If I'm going to pay preemo prices, I want a preemo specimen.

We have our experiences shared in the lionfish guide if you care to read that.

The temp will need to be in the 60s for the long-term. You're not going to get away with 70s for long.
