black glass locally?

Well my tank should be done in less then a week.(hopefully) and one of the key items is my prefilter box that I planned on getting made at a local glass shop. I have called numerous shops and gone to many but still no one has black glass. One lady told me black glass was out of season :eek2: I was speechless... So if anyone knows a glass shop in south florida that would cut me a 6"x11" or so peice please let me know.

Can't help you with finding black glass,but if it is just for your prefilter & it is going to be in-tank,then why not just go with regular glass?Corralline algae will grow pretty quickly(especially on a pre-filter-due to increased flow/light)& in a few months will cover the glass.If not,would black acrylic work?Just a suggestion.God luck & HTH
