hi, i am treating 3 tangs with copper in QT. but the yellow tang has black ich and other two got ich. so, will copper kill the black ich also? i know hypo will, but not sure copper works also or not???
black ich question?

what i did when my yellow tang got it. was i gave him a fresh water dip of 3 mins and the fish had no parasites afterwards.
Personally, i'd avoid formalin as it is cancerous to both the fish and you.
to perform freshwater dips, you need to:
1) decloronate your fresh water
2) raise the PH to the tank's level.
3) raise the temperature of the recepient of freshwater to the same as the tank.
4) place a air pump on the freshwater receipent and let it work for a while so that the water is well oxiginated.
5) before placing the fish, either use AmQuel, AmQuel+, Marplex (or your brand of ammonia removing product)
If the fish "lays down" nodge him, and make him stand and move.
