Black injured patch on royal gramma

Hi

My royal gramma seem to have one injured black patch on one side of its body. The other side is perfectly normal.

I tried to google this type of injury but have not come across any. I'm stumped...

Has anyone had similar experience? He is eating perfectly fine though.

Very likely a bacterial infection. It might have started out as a cut, injury or sting that has since got infected. Looks like you have him in QT (smart move); I would use antibiotics i.e. something like Furan-2 or Kanaplex.

how long will it usually heal? I'm feeding it with Dr G medicated food (anti bacterial)
