How good are black mollies about controlling algae?

Surprisingly good at it. Once properly acclimated they will even breed in the tank. That being said you need to find out what is fueling your algae outbreak.

Getting ready to build a new house and selling my current house has lead to a drop off in time for water changes and other things . Getting back on schedule with that stuff but the damage is done and has to be fixed

I have mollies in my 29 gallon they are amazing at eating algae we now don't have anymore problems with algae
