Sort of. We, aquarists, have been doing this for centuries. We just now started selective breeding in marine fish though. Take these examples below. For what it's worth, the pictures posted above are only the tip of the iceberg as far as aquaculturing specimens go. Also, for something even more wilder, read up on Coral Fusing and Grafting; the ability to fuse two different colored specimens of the same species to make a new coral.
We have selectively bred many fish in order to make them different.
