black PVC paint

What is the best spray paint to paint PVC black, some will be in the tank water so it has to be reef same? Anyone know? I have heard of the Krolia(SP) paint brand is ok?

Hey Shane,

Everything I have heard of says Krylon Fusion is the best around. Reefsafe after it dries. There is a thread on the DIY section somewhere.

Shane, Makes sure it is the Krylon Fusion. It is MEK based I believe, which is the solvent in PVC glue. It therefore melts and bonds to the PVC. I have used it since it came out and it sticks pretty good to plastics in general. It will wear just like anything else. My buddy used it in his planted fresh tank and it held up nicely. I have plenty of my pond stuff covered with it and it also has worn well. Any other kind of paint will just be a skin on the piping which will peel off. They have a nice selection of Fusion at Orchard.
