Does anyone know who has them right now...Im looking for one....

One of my black saddle back clowns mysteriously disappeared last night. It was heart wrenching......I search everywhere and dont want to disturb the tank so didnt move any rocks....he didnt jump out as eggcrate is over tank, checked overflow, checked powerheads, checked my anemones, I doubt he got eaten, but he jsut vanished.....I swear this hurt more than when my tang went carpet surfing......because 10 minutes before I saw him swimming and eating and fat and healthy.....then he vanishes..........

Makes a reefer want to cry......
It just sad....

Anyway my female looks lonely now...so Im looking for a juvenile or a small male....:( :( :(

If it is dead, check the cleaner... some how all my dead fish always go to the cleaner 1st. Everytime I think or know I have a dead fish I don't see the cleaner.

It is a possibility. If a fish dies the shrimp are usually the first to get to it. Then as stated above they will usually hide and eat the fish. I hope it is not dead though.

How long has it been missing for? My cleaner shrimp is the same way, if he is hidden, that's where the fish is.

since last night......cleaner is in back of the tank hiding last I saw him.....its just wierd how a fish dies in 10 minutes when nothing else in the tank including another species is affected....

No one said it had died, maybe hiding from the female. She must have beat him senseless and he then got lost. lol

If I dont see him when I get home today....I will just wait out the week...and then look for one....I dont want the female to get too used to being alone...

The worst is when you see a cleaner or hermit starting to eat a fish that isn't quite dead yet. Poor guy.. Eaten alive!!

I have yet to see that, but I'm sure my 3 firefish and 2 yellow watchman gobies died of a fate like that. :( :( :( :( :(

Happened to our flasher wrasse a couple days ago.:(

man i know how you feel, i just lost my 4 line wrasse today. such a beautiful fish, myfavorite, , and it was hard to get :(

mine went carpet surfacing an hour after i had like 25% of my eggcrate exposed.

i searched and searched and nothing, till my dog sniffed it out :(

i hope your guy pops up. i fed the tank heavily looking for mine, mysis shrimp, and but he didnt come out :(

if in fact it's dead and you have hermits of any sort or as mentioned your cleaner they will lead the way... I got a firefish about 1 month ago and put him in the tank with my sixline, pink and blue spotted watchman, and false percula.... I felt bad adding him last but his colors got me hooked so I tried him out. 2 days later after getting beat up by my false percula he was breathing heavy and i said to myself he has another day....sure enough the next morning the hermits had filet mignon for dinner... hope you find him coming out of a rock and decided to hibernate a bit. good luck

Nick

Im tempted to tear the tank apart tonight......

I still havent found him....I skipped feeding yesterday, wanted to make em hungry so today I will feed heavy with garlic added to coax him out.....
