black spiny urchin

is black spiny urchin really that bad for reef tanks. I am thinking about getting one but want some feedback first.

Do you mean Diadema? They're not really bad in that they'll eat stuff they're not supposed to, but more in that they're a hazard to the aquarist and can knock over rocks and corals.

They get big, upwards of basketball size. I love mine, great attention getter as well. You have to secure your corals.

When youre not paying attention, you'll bump into it with the back of your hand. ouch. It also bulldozes my corals.

they are bulldozers... and in my 125 no matter where i seen to put my hand he's always there to poke me, they are awesome creatures though. Mine grew from the size of a baseball to the size of a basket ball in 7 months

Just a voice from the other side. Mine seems to move around my corals. It's really quite strange. I have yet for him to knock something over. Nothing in my tank is secured in any way either - it's all just stacked
