Black Spot Disease

I've been reading about a product by FishVet caled Revive which claims to be a reef-safe method of removing external parasites (like paravortex) from the main tank.

I was wondering if anyone has experience with this product or something similar.

I have a Yellow Tang in quarantine after treatment and I don't want to reintroduce it back in the main tank without making some effort to remove the worms. (all fish removal or hyposalinity isn't really an option).

Bump -

I wrote to fishvet directly looking for a vender but they never replied.

Is there any other way to remove black spot from the main tank without removing all the fish?

HI Hex,

I doubt it. with a host (your fish) the parasites are likely to contiune to host and breed.

You can help by siphoning the bottom but in order to get rid of the parasite you need to stop the life cycle and that means no host to let it continue.

Thanks Hattie -- the host fish is in QT and I don't think paravortex will host on any other fish in my tank. So hopfully in a few weeks I will have waited out their life cycle.
