black spots on clarkii clowns

I've noticed some black spots on my pair of clarkii clown fish and I am wondering what it could be. I would love to get pics but they move so fast every thing is blurry. the spots have been there for a few weeks and I don't know if it is coloring or some thing else. it almost looks like a discolored scale. it looks like it's IN the scales not ON the scales.

hard to say without pics could be stings from an anenome.

Clowns often have pigmentation changes as they mature. Are they hosting in anything other than an anemone?

my clarkii has a few of 'em and to no harm has come. I think its kinda like freckles for fish. just a cool personality trait. Just keep an eye on it and see how the fish behaves. IE no flashing onto rocks and things or shimmying. IMO

they host the LR and sand, some times they just sleep in a cave. I'd like to get an LTA for them but my tank is not quite mature enough.
