black spots on percs

my percs are getting some little black spots on them, is this normal?

Do they host an anemone? If so, then I think it's pretty normal. Mine had them for a little while and they went away and didn't seem to detract from the health of the fishies.

no anemone, i had alot of aiptasia though? pep shrimp have taken care of most of it though, but spots are still there, they simmer down and spark up again daily, but never completely go away

its hypermelanization it is nothing to worry about usually, although there is also Black ich so it could be that if you can take a pic i would be able to know for sure.

im still new to saltwater but my little clowns had black spots on there bodies when i first got them and sometimes the female still gets them.. i was told its just them coloring up a little as they grow. my spots went away for now though.. they seem healthy and active.. maybe same thing.

i googled hypermelanization, this is what it appears to be, sorry i cant get a pic at the moment. i guess it will go away over time, with good nutrition and plenty of swimming? is this correct?

Yes its correct, Oddly enough the only clowns i ever had do this i got in Richmond
