black tube sponge

i have a black tube sponge i have had for 2 months now. last night something knocked it of its perch. i have righted it and found a more secure spot but(heres where i need advice) a pc tore off where it was stuck to the live rock. will this pc grow? is the whole sponge going to die? i am hoping some one tells me i have accidently fragged my sponge but worried it may die.

You should end up with 2 healthy sponges. I have that tube sponge also and it grows like a weed. Don't worry about it at all.
