So I came home today to notice that both my clowns faces have changed a little bit of color. I know the larger clown the other day got into a little scuffle with probably my black capped basslet. He's an *** sometimes. The clowns fins were a little frayed but they healed the next day and some scales were upturned. Anyways I come home today to notice that their faces (mainly the one that got in the scuffle) face has turned a little bit of an orange color. I dont know what to make of this except maybe its part of the healing process or something but I wouldn't expect my other clown to have ti as well. here are some pictures.
Sorry for the poor quality it was the best i could do. She wouldn't stay still.
I know u all will ask for water parameters so here they are are:
pH 8.1
Temp 78
Salinity 1.024-1.025
NO2 - 0
NH4 - 0
NO3 - 15 (its always been around here for the life of the tank (since Aug 2011)
Ca2+ - 740 (I know its high I use those blocks and not a dosing method... all my corals are doing great)
Mg2+ - 1485
KH - 9.5 (its usually 10-11 I am calculating my dosing this week to set it on a timer)
PO4 - 0.40 (I know this is high. I had it down to 0.01 at one point but its been high since I got my pistol shrimp/YWG combo cause the damn pistol esp the last week (hes been in the tank for over a month now) has decided to dig and dig and dig and stir **** up)
Anyways... my clowns are acting normal, no scratching against rocks, they are eating flake and frozen still, not hiding, etc... They host a smaller RTA rose anemone and a large duncan colony. I am in the process of setting up a new larger tank and plan on getting a larger blue carpet anemone for them to host finally. But the small RTA is what they came with don't ask me. Well my question is... is this a disease that I need to take them out and quarantine and treat or nothing to worry TOO MUCH about and do some water changes to get some levels down again or just battle wounds?
Thank You all
