Blacksburg February Tank Crawl/Frag Swap

OK so here are the details:

Saturday February 9, 2008 starting at 4pm we will be meeting up at my place. Trade any frags that anyone wants to trade.

4100 Richmond Ln Apt. C Blacksburg, VA 24060

We will begin the crawl here. From my place we will proceed around to different tanks around Blacksburg and the surrounding area. Ok so lets get a head count of who's coming and if you would like your tank to be a stop please reply to this thread with your address so I can put together an order that won't have us running back and forth across town.

So if you're coming to the crawl bring a six pack and maybe some chips. I will bust out the grill to eat dinner at my place, we will be having Bratwurst, Burgers, and Beer. After the crawl is over I have plenty of space if anyone wants to crash at my place considering we can come back here and play some cards or whatever afterwards.

So since my place is first:

Here you'll see both my and Anthony's tanks. A 90 Gallon and 24 Gallon respectively. My tank also has the first MR3 Skimmer you've probably ever seen strapped to a 90 gallon tank. Anthony's tank has the most coral you've probably ever seen per square inch of tank area.

it might be better to meet somewhere easier to find. foxridge might be a bit too much for out-of-towners to navigate. back when Z was in bburg it was a no-brainer to start off from there. it also made it a little less intimidating for new people who might be a little shy to show up to a stranger's house.

dunno if i can make this one, gonna have family in that weekend, though not sure yet if they'll be here sat or sun.

I'll try and make the meet as well, pending getting time off from work. I'll second Matt's suggestion. I'd offer to show my tank as well, but its really nothing to look at. Maybe the next crawl I'll have the new tank up. If anyone wants some Monti digitata (orange) or cap (orange, light purple, green/brown) frags I have some pieces that are geting big enough to need trimming, though nothing special on colors (under VHOs).

cookout sounds *great*. just to keep with tradition, let's start off at Z, even if it means meeting there a bit earlier, then convoying straight over to meet you at your place at 4:00. my family thing was pushed off till the weekend after so i'm good to go.

so i'll be at Z at 3:30 to lead over whoever wants to meet there, leaving at 3:45. anyone in bburg who doesn't want to drive out to Z can obviously just go straight to foxridge.

my tank is just a holding tank and not much to look at right now but it's fair game of course, my doggie would like the excitement if nothing else. i'm on main street near kroger

I'm off Cambria, about 1 mile from Z. If there really is interest in seeing my tank, even though its not impressive, I'd be happy to show it.
I'm also looking forward to the cookout, sounds like a good time.

Ok well lets do this, meet at Z, go to coolfish's, then Matts, then Silvermoon's, and then end up at our place that way we can cookout and drink etc and no one has to worry about driving or whatever.

We can add my tank into the mix if you guys want. Its not amazing but its coming along nicely. We should probably do right before we end up in Foxridge b/c I live in Hethwood which is basically Foxridge

I'm not sure on the time constraints, or if things have been planned out. I will be off work at 3, so should be able to show/attend the meet depending on schedule.

I just want to make sure that no one has issues with cats and or ferrets, i have 1 and 5 respectively....... and the ferrets will be contained in their room, not free-roaming......
