Bladeyamaha's 10 gallon seed tank for future 80 gallon system resetup!

Here are some pictures of my 10 gallon seed tank, it has a zoanthid frag "Blue Eyed Girls" and several pounds of Totoka Fiji Live Rock and about 7 pounds of kpdual90's Fiji live rock out of his own personal system, he is out of Ann Arbor, Michigan-He is selling off a 400+ gallon system to move and build a new geothermal heated system with a waterfall, it will be a reef tank as well, the rock I got from him was exposed to corals propagating in the 300 gallon main tank for almost 10 years, it should do some pretty miraculous stuff after being exposed to light it was under the top rock in his tank. I just got some cheap .50 a pound live sand off eBay. The 10 gallon has a Two Little Fishies 150 Phosban Reactor full of carbon run by a maxi-jet 400 and an Aquarium Systems Sea Clone 100 (my first skimmer) as a skimmer, and a 4x24watt (96watts total) lighting fixture by Odyssea. Odyssea is really crappy by the way.

So? What do viewers think? Its just a temporary tank. Anyways you don't get the descriptions unless you go to the link to photobucket website but the Totoka Fiji Branch Live Rock I got was supposed to be 25 pounds and he sent some man made branch rock too with a lot of different types of odd natural growth that had been sitting in his holding tanks with all the other live rock he has, but I swear he sent 50 pounds total, because I did not even come close to fitting it all in the 10 gallon tank, I had to put some in a bucket, so I picked pieces that basically had nothing really on it. Oh well at least I'm documenting a build of this seed tank, I no longer have any photos or videos of my 80 gallon reef setup when it was running once, except for the great and awesome memories of my crazy acting fish and corals in my head, now. When I resetup the 80 gallon system I am going to document that too for sure.

I know its not a beautiful tank, but I'm disabled, I just can't afford much, just to have good rock to reseed my 80 gallon system when I am able to set it back up.

I love it when people have to build their reefs step by step and not just drop a butt load of cash at everything at once. Maybe because that would be my approach, but that is more appealing to me. Anyways, it looks like you are off to a good start. Keep it up and looking forward to updates!!

Well its just a seed tank for putting my 80 gallon system back up in the future(about 10 months to a year away on that), but I still dropped 700 bones on it including inhabitants.

OK getting a clean up crew of sorts today, going to try reef safe hermits again, (last time they all eventually got stuck in places on the live rock and died), 2 nassarius snails, (not much open area in the 10 gallon, so I limited them even though they are great and very fun to watch), an emerald crab,(have a small, small bubble algae problem and these guys do not get stuck as far as I know), a Banded Coral Shrimp(extremely tiny-I love them and they clean up a little and scavenged extra fish food too) and a Six Line Wrasse(I know he is going to devastate my copepod population a while but I'll get some chaeto, some dragon's tongue, Gacilia, (or however that is spelled) and maybe something else for theme to hide in, then I will buy some to populate the tank and multiply hopefully, probably have to feed them with some Ulva and phytoplankton. I will post pictures of the arrival, and hopefully some pictures of the new creatures in the tank before they hide, I will be doing a temp acclimation, a 3 hour drip acclimation, and finally another temperature acclimation, and then introduce into the tank, (that is how I roll).

OK the new additions to the 10 gallon tank, A Six Line Wrasse(as I love their personality but will make it difficult to grow and have a copepod population.), also some invertibrates, 2 tiny nassarius snails, 2 dwarf zebra hermits( actually 4 but I've got to call Live Aquaria also because they did not send dwarf zebra hermits), 2 red banded trochus snails, 1 emerald crab, and 1 banded coral shrimp.

I put in 2 tiny nassarius snails, order 2 dwarf zebra hermits, but got 4 dwarf red legged hermit crabs, 2 red banded trochus snails, 1 emerald crab, 1 banded coral shrimp, and a small Six Line Wrasse. I called Live Aquaria and complained that I did not get my 2 dwarf zebra legged hermit crabs, so my money was refunded to paypal and I got free $34.99 shipping on my next order, at least nothing arrived DOA like in 2008, but I still have 14 days to report any deaths and get my money back, but everything look great.
