Blasto Frag

I have a 3 head blasto wellsi frag... RIght now it is just sitting in the sand and it opens and eats nicely...

Will this thing grow new heads if it is sitting in the sand, or does it have to be mounted to a rock to grow new heads?

It will form its own skeleton. But IME it does so quicker when glued to a rock.

I agree, I would not leave it on the sand bed.. if it gets sand on it, it will kill it off. It is also a VERYYYYY slow grower.
