Those Blasto merletti are much more tolerant and can thrive in intense lighting moreso than their bigger brother the wellsi which like moderate to low lighting. Even some morphs of wellsi can handle more light than others, but always best to start em down low or partially shaded . The wellsi also seem to do better in low/moderate currents and narrow streaming powerhead can make quick work of them down to the bone best to give them wide laminar gentle current.
