i was wonderin if there are any certain steps to do to try to revive a bleached coral... feeding?
my lighting is simply power compacts so i dont believe there is to much light. ( i dont run carbon tho..)
- thanks

have they lost all color or have they just dulled out some? i dont think that pc's will bleach them as i have a frog just under 250wmh and its got great color. maybe they r not getting enough light. try feeding them that will help.

i always feed mine mysis. i turn off the flow and feed the tank. then ill spot feed the corals. i just keep my hand in the tank until the coral has a chance to grip on to the food. that keeps the fish away:)

I had a real nice green hammer coral that started to bleach. I didnt realize that it was caused by the slow decrease in salinity to 1.020. Once I realized this I slowly increased it back to 1.023 and it is slowly regaining its green colour. Very very slow though.

First you should clarify if they came to you bleached or youve had them for months and just started gradually bleaching...OR??

There's a plethera of reasons why a coral can bleach, and without understanding the history or background of the coral; suggestions could do more damage than good right now!!

yea i got the frogspawn in good health no bleach... my salinity is fine . its really not that bleached just slightly. i have about 6 corals and add b-ionic everyother day... is that enough? and my salinity is fine

whoa speed :D heheh

Ok, not that this is the case but it is soo commonly overlooked and also my experience with this coral. Lights. You mention these are PC. The average usefull spectrum before such events like this can occur is 6-9 mo. Some people with different critters can squeak by for a year some even longer. But usually it's just a bulb on it's down swing and time to change it out.

What are you using to check salinity? If you are using just a hydrometer not a calibrated refractometer, double check the salinity with a refractometer.

Also how are you testing the kH, calcium, and magnesium.

yea ... the i dont think it is the lights i got the lights around christmas time i tested calc and alk they are fine and i think the frogspawn is gettin better
