Bleached Bubble Tip?

LOL, I think he does but it's here on the forum.

you guys are to much thank ou so much for the kind words. I really wish Fish stores would NOT SELL Bleach anemone and if they did would sell them for much less. It is really sad seeing all of these stores that have no idea the anemone or anemone's they have are bleach . My biggest thing is i hope what success i have had with my anemone will help someone with a blech anemone like you . On a side note at least your still has it tentacles . Just make sure it eats every other day soak the food in salcon and if at all possible get some light .

Hey again, the nem has eaten 2 out of 3 days now which is good, after yesterdays white string incident thought he wernt goin eat today, but took 3 tiny artemia which stuck to his stubs and he basically shrunk himself up and ate it, 5 min later he was looking the best i have seen him yet,im sure he has sprouted a few mre bubble tips to,also hes not so translucent now,few of his tentacles are milky white now!still worried bout his size though, hes only a inch across,is that right?thanks guys

Without sounding like an amature............whats this "salcon" additive you speak of? when i google closest match is salon???:wildone:

SJWITT and CATCHOFTHEDAY,much love for ur constant replys, cheers dudes

No worries... we all just love the nemmies. :) I wouldn't worry about the small size of the anemone, maybe it's just a baby. Good news that it's eating but don't go too fast and keep an eye on it to make sure it's not regurgitating later. I know you want to make it better but every other day is probably fine. If it's not regurgitating then you're probably fine.

BTW, I think it's "Selcon" and I think it's a vitamin supplement. I've never used it but I have used Vita Chem. I personally didn't see much difference but it couldn't hurt.

Hello again guys, please find attached some more images of the nem, these were taken 2 days ago when that white stringy stuff was leaving his mouth, you can just see it, also i will add a pic of what he looks like today, thanks for your intrest guys Dan.

Well it does look like it trying to spawn . I have to say one thing you have a long road ahead of you but dont give up .

The tentacles will slowly color up and then the body.
But like others have mentioned,it will take a while.
Sounds like you are on the right track.
Good luck.

Quite surprised the nems trying to spawn,i thought if it hadnt eaten in months the sudden feeding might of contributed towards the unusal substance it excreted, well i hope that as read a bleached nem trying to spawn is a last ditch effort to pass on its genetics as on deaths door....I wont give up on it any time soon and feeding day 4 nem tmoz,so will post what he takes, thanks to all.

Hello ppl, just an update on the nem, hes eating regularly now and in turn has aquired some new tentacles, hes body mass has increased but color as far as i can see have unchanged. Hes more extended when under blue lighting or when lights out,i guess he dont like the metal halide yet. All in all impressed with its progress, will post pics 2moz. Any opinions on majano nems?i have a splendid specimen in my sump.....also i recently built a coil denitrator, i have a few questions in the DIY section of the forums, any advice will be greatly appreciated, thanks Dan.

Glad to hear your BTA is looking better. As far as Majano Anemones are concerned they are pests just like Aiptasia. I have aiptasia in the sump and corner drains; I have peppermint shrimp in the main display to keep them out. I don't think there is a predator for majano so I wouldn't keep them in my system at all. I've read from those who have had them that they have taken over the entire tank.

lot of mixed reviews on majanos, hes not multiplyed in 3 years! heres some more nemy photos, hes getting biigger and a hint of green??

huh, then maybe it's not majano or just not feeling threatened. BTA looks better. As far as him being more extended under actinic blue lights, that doesn't surprise me since it's bleached. It really can't process light, which is why it's so important for you to hand feed it.

the nem seems to be taking food every day with no problem! will carry on down this route as only small portions, will keep u updated, thanks to all.
