Bleached GBTA starting to get brown Spots

Does this mean its starting to color up?? I see brown specs all over the bleached/clear areas.

Yes that is good news. Most zooxanthellae come in this way and only eventually after filling up tissue will have the reflective bits that lend the anemone and corals their color. i think thats how it works, i'm not sure that i've said it properly. From no color to color is good!

Thanks for the info, I did notice some parts of it turning back to its orignal dark color.

On a side note I am about to transfer tanks. So I'd like to know whats the best method to remove a bta off a rock. The gbtas are about 3" each. I have two and they are stuck to rocks. I would like to reposition it.

I would only do it if you have to, but you can slide a credit card under the foot to get it off a rock. Like I said before, it is stresful on the nem, so avoid having to move it.

Do not use a credit card if it is on the rocks, that only works if it is on the glass. You need to peel it off slowly using your fingernail. Go slowly and gently, they are very delicate and tear easily. If you have a hard time, just transfer the rock it is on into the new tank. If the rock is too bit you could use haevy duty rock snippers and cut it off. I guess it depends on the type of rock you have, some are softer than others. Good luck, I hate removing them from the rock, it's nerve wracking.
