Bleached out Ricordia

Have an issue I need a little help with. For those of you that were at my house for the frag workshop last weekend and saw the Nano Cube. I have this rock up front that started with 2 Ricordia and a small 10 polyp Zoo frag early last year.

Well, about 7 months later, this is what I have.... The Toadstool has climbed from the bottom of the tank all the way up to it current location, The Zoos have completely taken over the rock, including the stalk of the Toadstool. The 2 Ricordias were just swamped. The one still forces it was open and gets light and food everyday. I stopped seeing the other one while ago.

Well, it reappeared today. on the bottom of the tank. I guess it let loose of the rock and jumped... Do I need to do anything? Will it recover its blue color?

If you look in the middle of the picture, you can see the other ricordia starting to open up this morning. You can see he is not completed bleached out, but he sure fights for space everyday. Do I need to break this rock up or just chip off the rock around the Ricordia and move him to another part of the tank?

I had an orange one that lookedjust like that a few months ago. You can now no longer tell it was ever bleached. Give it plenty of light and it will be fine.

Yeah, you may want to reintroduce the light a bit slowly, but I have had two or three that were bleached and completely recovered.

I just had one that must have been buried by sand, and recently was uncovered somehow. It has almost recovered in about a week and a half.

It can take a while to fully color back,up but with good lighting it should have no problems and the one that fell off, will attach to sand in a week or so and then you can glue it to a rock or move it wherever.

Sorry I missed it :( Next time make it a SLASH Event!! :D

d.French - thanks, I have some rather huge bristle worms in the Nano cube. They tend to freak me out when you feed the tanka nd they start coming out from all over.

Im Lon 2 - sorry you missed it too, everyone seemed to have a good time. I got to show off the new tank that I just got set-up. Event was opened to everyone in the hobby in St Louis, no membership to any club was required. You should have stopped by.

Now, the bleached out Ricordia has completely opened on the bottom of the tank, so I guess he is still healthy. Just needs a little bit of a tan.

i move some LR around and found 2 that ar atleast a foot long the rest are small i know there good to have but not sure about big ones i guess big ones arent bad cause nothing is getting eaten or killed by them nothing is missing.

i have had the ric's just do that out of the blue as i have had a few dew this,, do they do this from time to time?
