bleached sps

i have a piece of pavona and a cap from an old tank that went through a heat crash and bleached. they are still growing and polyps are there. just body is white. I know that bleaching is a dieoff of zoozanthalle? in a last ditch effort to survive. will the color eventually come back in new growth or existing? or once its gone its gone?

The color can return as the coral repopulates its zooaxnthellae. It will need really good water conditions and I wouldn't leave it in the direct light, maybe some indirect light as it heals and colors up. Good luck.
