Bleaching Acan problem!

So, I woke up this morning and found my Acan about 1/4 bleached.I panicked and quickly started a 20% water change.I did some research and found that they bleach from being touched or from lighting problems.

But neither were the case. Then I called my LFS and they didn't have a whole lot to tell me except for the fact that if I place him in shade that he might extend out to the light, so I can see some sign of life. But i'm still waiting to check on that.

Any more suggestions?

They don't like high light or high flow. IME, acan lords (assume that is what you have)can be finicky, especially small frags that are recently cut.

I've almost always had him in the sandbed.
