Can someone please give most common causes for corals looking bleached besides lights? Me and my friend have same lights and several same corals but mine are alot lighter color then his. Can someone tell me other things besides lights to look for? I am tried lowering my leds to only 40% from 70% for 3 months with same results. My corals are all growing fine n look healthy just color are all very off and light.

wow good link thanks alot. I been dosing NoPoX. which made my tank very clean barely any algae so from that link that means my tank is too clean and the corals need the algae to survive and not bleach?

Some nutrients are definitely better from personal experience. I have seen tanks be "too clean" imo. All about balance.

Hard to mimic nature since the water from tides pull dirtier water over the corals when receding then pushes clean water back when coming in its a daily cycle, most (not all) SPS like a bit of both just not too much of either 24/7, that fine line of just right is tricky. Im finding everything seems to be happier with the water a tad high in nutrients and things just kept stable. Pretty much what Reef noob said does seem to be the ticket.
