Bleaching reef rock question

I just purchased about 100lbs of dry reef rock. Still has some algae and dead organism on it. How long should I bleach it for? BRS has a video showing them bleaching for 1 week. Has anyone bleached for longer? Im not in rush since my tank won't be set up probably till the end of January.

I did 60lbs. Soaked in city water for a week. Used hose with nozzle to pressure wash out all the gunk I could get to, prepare to get wet. Used Muriatic Acid bath for about 15 min. Rinsed again. Soaked 1 week in city water and then pressure washed again. Soaked 3 days in RODI and then rinsed in RODI several times. Let dry 1 week and then added to 75 gal aquarium.
The tank cycled in 2 weeks with Dr Tims and 5 mos in is doing fine. Just the normal green algae bloom (10 days) and then the Diatom bloom. Seems to be leveling out now.
Just don't do like I did and try to chase things from day to day. It will settle all by itself without all the worry.

I'll second the power washing after bleaching - I was shocked at how much junk I blew out, and for how long, and this was after a few bleach baths and 1 acid bath
