Bleeding Apple Scoly

That's an awesome looking coral! I've read that these are pretty hardy, but I've mostly got softies in my tank (zooanthinds and such) Do these have any special care requirements?

IMO it is pretty easy so far, and from what I have read too. I keep mine covered for now with a 20oz bottle cut off to keep crabs and what not from crawling all over it, and it keeps the flow down a bit too since I am blasting my tank.

I feed it with a turkey baster, but the biggest fish I have is a black ocellaris, who loves to bite, but it tickles. Been feeding it a few pellets daily with a small piece of squid or mussels or whatever is in the mix. Been puffing up a lot now, but it is still relatively small.

From what my research, they seem to like lower light and lower flow. They don't need to be fed, but I want it to grow as quickly as possible. Seems very simple to me. This thing was fragged so I would say it is hardy.

what is everyone using as covers..

i took a soda bottle...its ok..but need a larger one.. and a smaller one...

anyone make any great setups with handles to extend it down???

If you have enough space and room in your tank just cut the top off a 2 liter bottle. That's what I have done with some success.

Chum the water a lil before you feed and let them open up like this then feed they love it!!
