Blennies

Anyone have a tail spot or starry blennie in a SPS dominated tank?

I was wanting to add a blennie of somesort, but wanted to make sure they were not going to munch my polyps.

I didn't know either but ran across this and was just wondering if it was this one particular fish or something that I had missed out on and catching one in my tank after its added would be impossible.

YES SOME NIP.....DEPENDING ON HOW MANY YOU HAVE THOUGH...IF THERE ARE MORE CORALS THEY ARE LESS LIKELY TO DO IRREPARABLE DAMAGE TO ONE SINGLE CORAL

I have had a Midas blenny for almost a year now in my tank. Great fish IMO and I have never seen it nip on any of my sps.

my seaweed blenny doesn't touch any of my sps corals.

I've got both in the same tank and haven't had a problem with either.

My tailspot will nab a bit of cyclopeeze if he finds it clinging to the polyps of a staghorn, but the coral never appears damaged in the least. It looks alarming. And he does sleep in the cup of a digitata foliosa, but he doesn't weigh much, and the digi doesn't seem affected by it.

my starry hasn't touch any of the sps or clam though he love to sleep inside the cap.
